I have never really done New Year's resolutions, with the exception of a "resolution" to read through the Bible in one year back in 2008. This year, I haven't made anything formal, but I am definitely pondering several things of importance. Here are what I have so far:
1) Be kinder and gentler to my wife
2) Help my wife around the house more
3) Read more
4) Train myself Java and maybe learn to program Android applications
5) Improve my attitude at work and reduce cynicism
6) Significantly reduce the use of profanity
Well, it's Jan. 20th and so far so good. I think I need to do a better job with #2, but I'm doing well with the others so far. Hoping to keep up the good work.

You'll be surprised at how much better life will be when you step up on goal #2. Remember the old adage, "Happy Wife, Happy Life." Good for you for 1) even attempting, and 2) tracking your progress.
ReplyDeleteWell, I was doing pretty good until Congress overstepped its bounds and rammed this Marxist health reform bill down my throat. I'm still really ticked off about it. I've fallen off the wagon on #6 :-(
ReplyDeleteNow I am really ticked when I start hearing multiple reports from reputable media outlets that the President of the U.S. and Congressional staffers are EXEMPT from provisions of the Health Reform bill that they are ramming down our throats. What a bunch of $%#$% no good hypocritical tyrants.
